Settings ​

Overview ​

Loads and updates the signed-in user's application preferences.

  • Route: /settings (protected)

  • API: GET /settings, PUT /settings, POST /settings/reset

User actions ​

  • Edit currency, timezone, date/number format, language, fiscal year start, discount rate, autosave, notification, retention, and backup-frequency settings.
  • Save the form.
  • Reset settings after confirmation.

Data flow and states ​

On mount, settings are loaded and numeric values converted to strings for form fields. Save converts form strings back to numbers; successful API data is applied to local state. Reset replaces state with returned defaults. Initial loading, saving, success, and error states are implemented.
